How the annual forecast works
The Chinese solar calendar assigns every year a pillar — a Heavenly Stem over an Earthly Branch — giving the year its own element and animal. Read against your Day Master, that pillar describes the year’s weather for you specifically: which of your elements it feeds, which it drains. Your zodiac animal’s relation to the year’s animal sets your Tai Sui standing — harmony means the wind is at your back; a clash says where to stop forcing doors. The monthly layer
Months carry pillars too, and they turn faster — which makes the monthly forecast the practical layer: when to push, when to prepare, when to leave well enough alone. Use the switchers to look back at last month or ahead to the next one, and to step between last year, this year, and the year to come. The current year and month are always free.

How is this different from the daily reading?
