Compatibility
This is a compatibility check with a control group: it runs BaZi — Chinese astrology’s Four Pillars system — and Western synastry independently on the same two birth charts, scores each out of a hundred, and then tells you whether the two traditions agree. Two birthdays are enough to start; birth times sharpen the result.
How the two-system read works
The BaZi side compares your Day Masters — the core of each Four Pillars chart — and how your elements feed or fight each other. The Western side runs synastry on your sun and moon signs. Each returns a score and a headline; then comes the verdict: both systems agree, mixed signals, or they disagree. The two traditions developed three thousand years and seven thousand miles apart, which is exactly what makes agreement interesting.

Is this Chinese zodiac compatibility?
Deeper than that. Your zodiac animal is one character out of eight in a BaZi chart; this reads the whole chart. More in how Chinese zodiac compatibility actually works.
Do we both need birth times?
No. With birthdays alone, the BaZi side runs on three pillars and the Western side on noon positions — the verdict holds; the grain is just coarser. Add times and cities for hour-level precision.
What does “mixed signals” mean?
One system reads warm, the other cool. Read both sections — the friction the cooler one names is usually the useful part.
Why two systems beat one
Any single system can be accused of telling you what you want to hear. Two systems that share no vocabulary landing on the same answer is harder to wave off — and when they clash, the disagreement itself is information. Read more in synastry vs. BaZi compatibility.
